The absolute perfect gift to welcome a new baby or celebrate a little one growing out of baby clothes! These sweet bears, commemorating babies birth statistics are perfect for little (or big) hands and are able to be completely customized!

These bears are made to celebrate Baby's special day. I am glad to put anything you wish on the bear (within the confines of the allotted space) . The particular format I recommend for birth statistics is:

First name

Middle Name

(Last name if desired)

Birth date -I can write it long form or short

Birth time

Birth weight in lbs and oz

Birth Length in inches.

I can also put the city, state, hospital, and or a special message, or even who the bear is from!

One example might be - having run out of space on the tummy,but still wanting to put somewhere who the bear is from, we could embroider "Love Nana" or "from your God Mother" etc, on the arm, leg, or ear. Again, we are limited by size. I will work with you and do my very best to get everything you want on there. But I request that you be understanding of the boundaries and limitations under which I am working. For instance, simply shrinking the font down is not a good option because the smaller the font gets, the more poor the sew out quality can become.

Another lovely, but more simple option might simply be the babies monogram on the tummy and then their birth date on the ear or leg. As you can imagine there are limitless options.

Thread:

We can absolutely discuss color choice, and I would love suggestions, however unless you have a very specific color preference, I will choose a thread color for the font. The reason I prefer to have the final choice is two fold. First, I have years of experience which helps in knowing what colors compliment each other ad will read best. Second, lighting ,cameras, and variations in monitors make it exceedingly difficult (borderline impossible) to get a true depiction of what thread colors really look like through photos.
The two thread choices we can discuss:
1. Font color
2. If you have a dark colored shirt, we will discuss what color eyes you might like (whatever color we choose - blue, green, cocoa, lavender, etc must be very light in tone). Bears made from dark colored shirts will have light eyes with black pupils. Bears from light colored shirts will have black eyes with white pupils.

3. I will choose the nose and mouth colors that best harmonize with the main shirt fabric. I usually do some hue of pink for the nose.

Fabric:

You may choose to either use a couple items of your baby's clothing for the foundation fabric, a receiving blanket, a print or solid quilters cotton ,or even baby flannel! The muzzle and tummy patch are made from tfuzzy fabric (either an anti pill fleece or a soft cream colored velour),and the inner ears may be made of the same fabric as the tummy/muzzle or a 3rd fabric (another piece of baby clothing or a contrasting colored fabric).

In total, you will need 3 fabrics: #1 (body, head, arms, legs, ear back), #2 (muzzle and tummy patch), #3 (inner ear).

Note: Because baby clothes, especially depending on age, are so small, I may need more items. Another reason I might need more items or might need to piece (sew together) items, would be to keep a cute design intact. If there is a particular design on a piece of clothing we wish to keep intact, it may have to go on the bear's back so it can be featured and won't be obscured by the tummy patch and face. Please bear that in mind when choosing items to send. It is best to contact me before sending your items so we can make sure there will be enough fabric to construct the bear!

Bow Option:

I have a variety of satin ribbon which I use to make bow's around the bear's necks. Generally I will choose a color that best harmonizes the primary (shirt) color. If you have a special request - I will see if I can accommodate it. Please note: These are NOT sewn on. They are simply bows. If you wish something more sturdy, for an additional $5 fee, I can make a removable bow-tie on an elastic band. This is great if a child want's to play dress-up with the bear.
