Give Thanks

Fall is undoubtedly my favorite season.  Many aspects of this time of year please me to no end.  The turning of the leaves, the crisping of the air, all of the gorgeous produce - pumpkins, gourds, squash  -  all manifestations of natures bounty and beauty.  I also have a soft spot for ephemera  and vintage style fabric.  These loves came together as the inspiration for this Thanksgiving theme apron.  Two darling fabrics were used in this project.  The primary fabric, on the bib and the top tier, is decorated in vintage-style pilgrims. The complimentary fabric is a feisty pumpkin print.   This apron has a cute and functional pocket  which is dressed with the same lace that adorns the heart shaped bib, and  some orange rick rack for a little added sass.
